July 2023

Tues 1st

Continue to pray for Joseph and Josephine, headteachers in the two primary schools.

Wed 2nd

As the children at St Matia Mulumba now have access to a library, pray they will learn to love reading and that they will look after the books which have been provided.

Thurs 3rd

Give thanks for the school nurses at both primary schools and pray for them in their responsibilities.

Fri 4th

Continue to pray for  Brenda and Jessica, completing university studies this term. Pray for jobs for both girls and that they will adjust well to the workplace environment.

Sat 5th

Pray for those children studying in vocational institutes, that they will master the skills taught so that they will be equipped to eventually get jobs.

Sun 6th

Pray for all our children that they will be enthusiastic about school and that they will concentrate well in class.

Mon 7th

Give thanks for the Micro Finance groups set up among the parent body and pray, that each one involved, will be able to save something for their children’s equipment needs.

Tues 8th

Please pray that new people will be wiling to sponsor children and that we will be able to help ever more children have the opportunity of learning in school.

Wed 9th

Continue to pray for all the teachers to be creative in their approach to teaching.

Thurs 10th

Pray for each child supported through EVC to become happy, confident and productive members of their schools.

Fri 11th

Pray for all those in secondary schools to be diligent in their studies.

Sat 12th

St Matia Mulumba has need of a generator. Pray for Gonzaga and Prossy, that they will be able to get help in sourcing the best and most reliable machine for the school.

Sun 13th

Continue to pray that the parents and guardians of the sponsored children will learn to value the importance of education for their children.

Mon 14th

Give thanks for Gonzaga, Prossy and Janet, the EVC staff in Uganda, for their commitment to their work and to the children.

Tues 15th

Continue to pray for Praxeda and Henry studying at Kyambogo University in Kampala.

Wed 16th

Gonzaga is taking much needed holiday this month. Pray that this will be a time of refreshment and recharging batteries for her.

Thurs 17th

Schools break up for school holidays tomorrow. Pray for safety in travelling for the children as they go home.

Fri 18th

During the holidays, Prossy our project manager, will be overseeing the installation of security for the new computer room. Pray for her in this responsibility, that it will go to plan and that a good job will be done.

Sat 19th

Pray particularly for our teenage girls during the holidays; that God will hedge them around with His protection and that they will hold fast to what is right during this time.

Sun 20th

Pray for the teaching staff in the schools, that they will have a time of rest and relaxation during the holidays.

Mon 21st

Pray that our children will be helpful and supportive to their parents and guardians during this time at home.

Tues 22nd

Pray for the Donor Care Meeting taking place in Portsmouth this evening and, for Andy, as he leads this time.

Wed 23rd

Pray for Ted as he finalises the content for the workshops to be given over Zoom in September, to staff, head teachers, governors and EVC Committee members.

Thurs 24th

As we seek to raise funds here in the UK for a new nursery department at St Matia Mulumba, pray that God will provide the finances needed.

Fri 25th

Pray for Father Boniface and Father Michael as they support the EVC staff in their work.

Sat 26th

The staff in Uganda are planning a special celebration for all EVC children at the end of the Christmas term, where awards for different achievements will be given. Pray for the staff as they plan for this.

Sun 27th

Give thanks for Gordon and for his expertise in overseeing all the project work in Uganda.

Mon 28th

Give thanks for the EVC Board of Trustees and pray that the good atmosphere of cooperation among members will be maintained throughout the coming year.

Tues 29th

This next term, as a result of obtaining sponsorship, some newly sponsored children will be moving to a new school. Pray that they will settle well, love their new schools and make friends easily.

Wed 30th

Continue to give thanks for the faithfulness of our sponsors and their commitment to the children they support.

Thurs 31st

Ted and Judi have a very busy month of appeals during September. Pray for stamina in the busyness and for safety as they travel to different places.
