EVC Uganda December Prayer Requests

December 2025

Monday 1st

Pray for protection and safety for all the EVC children who are now at home for the long Christmas holiday.

Tuesday 2nd

Pray for good times with their families and that they will be a help and support to their parents and guardians during their time at home.

Wednesday 3rd

Childrens letters, reports and progress forms are currently being collected ready for posting to the UK. Pray that this will go well and that everything will be ready to send in time for Christmas.

Thursday 4th

Give thanks for all those who have volunteered help to EVC Uganda during this past year and pray that others will be motivated to join them.

Friday 5th

Currently there is a long spell of hot dry weather in Uganda and crops are turning yellow in peoples gardens. Pray that God will send rain before these crops fail.

Saturday 6th

This weekend Gordon and Phil are travelling to Hoylake to give an appeal for EVC. Pray for safety travelling and for a positive and generous response from the parishioners.

Sunday 7th

Pray that God will continue to prompt people to sponsor children in education through EVC.

Monday 8th

Pray that during the school holidays parents and guardians will have enough food and other essentials to provide for their childrens needs.

Tuesday 9th

Give thanks for the church appeals already in the diary for 2026 and for the priests who are willing to allow us to speak in their churches.

Wednesday 10th

Pray that as Ted continues to work on this church appealsprogramme, God will open doors to speak about EVC in churches. Pray that he will reach the target of 30 appeals in 2026.

Thursday 11th

Construction work on the new dining room and kitchen is ongoing at St Matia Mulumba. Pray for all involved in this, that they will plan well and do the job to a high standard.

Friday 12th

Pray for Prossy as she oversees the work and is responsible for the purchase of the materials needed.

Saturday 13th

During the holidays many school staff are away from the sites of the schools and the safety of the buildings is the responsibility of the security staff. Pray that they will carry out their responsibilities in a thorough way.

Sunday 14th

Pray for Father Boniface, his mother and wider family as they mourn the loss of Father Bonifaces father.

Monday 15th

Collating and sending out the childrens letters and reports is a big job. Pray for Judi and Jenny as they work on this, that they will be able to have everything ready to post before Christmas.

Tuesday 16th

Janet, who has been working with EVC for the past three and a half years is leaving her job at the end of this month. Give thanks for the contribution she has made during this time.

Wednesday 17th

Pray that a new member of staff will quickly be found to replace Janet, someone who will love the job and be committed to the ideals of the charity.

Thursday 18th

Pray for those who will interview that they will be led by God and, that he will give them wisdom in their decision making.

Friday 19th

Give thanks for David, our new Trustee, for all his contributions to the new database, his work in raising money for mosquito nets and his input with the charity Christmas cards.

Saturday 20th

At the end of next month Judi will be speaking about EVCs work to the children at Laleham Lea, a Catholic independent school in Surrey. Pray for her as she works on putting a powerpoint presentation together fo use in the assemblies.

Sunday 21st

Pray that this Christmas holiday will be a time of refreshment for all the staff in the schools.

Monday 22nd

Pray for Joseph and Josephine, headteachers in our two primary schools, as they look ahead and plan for the new school year.

Tuesday 23rd

Continue to pray for Roger, Brid and Phil, all recovering from broken bones, that they will continue to make good progress and soon experience full healing.

Wednesday 24th

Give thanks for the EVC staff, Gonzaga, Prossy and Immaculate and pray that they will have opportunity for rest and time with their families over Christmas.

Thursday 25th

For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.Isaiah 9 : 6 ,7a NIV

Friday 26th

Pray that God will provide other opportunities to speak in schools in the UK.

Saturday 27th

Ted will be developing a programme in order to try to diversify income streams for the charity. Currently we are very dependent on church appeals for income. Pray for him as he works on this.

Sunday 28th

St Matia Mulumba primary school now has land on which they are growing coffee. Pray that here in the UK we will be able to develop ideas of how to market this and gain support for them to be able to enlarge this initiative.

Monday 29th

As a good number of primary school children completed primary education in 2025, pray that new students will be enrolled in the schools next term, so that school income does not drop.

Tuesday 30th

Pray for the students who completed Senior 4 this year, particularly that they will give careful and realistic thought to what they will go on to do after results are known.

Wednesday 31st

Give thanks for all the support and help Father Boniface and Father Michael give to the EVC staff and pray that, after the busy Christmas season ,they will have time to rest and relax.
