Wednesday 1st |
Pray for Roger, one of our Patrons, who faces more surgery on the leg he broke in Uganda last year. Pray that an appointment will be given quickly and that this time the surgery will be successful. |

Thursday 2nd |
As building work continues on the kitchen and dining room at St MM, pray that the build will be done well and that no bad weather will hinder the construction. |
|
Friday 3rd |
Pray for Prossy as she oversees the work and is responsible for sourcing the building materials. |
|
Saturday 4th |
Lightning conductors need to be installed on three buildings at St Kizito. Pray that the right contractor will be found to do this work and that the work will be able to be done quickly. |
|
Sunday 5th |
As church appeals for this year are again underway, pray for stamina for Gordon, Phil, Ted and Judi and for safety in all the travelling. |
|
Monday 6th |
New sponsored children are joining school this term. Pray that they will settle well in their new schools and will quickly learn the routines and make new friends. |
|
Tuesday 7th |
Monica, a new member of staff in Uganda, is beginning work this week. Pray that she will quickly fit in with other members of the team and will understand the tasks she needs to carry out. |
|
Wednesday 8th |
Pray for Father Boniface and Father Michael after the busy Easter season, for opportunity to rest and renew energy. |
|
Thursday 9th |
Pray for the staff team in Uganda, that they will continue to encourage and support one another and be self motivated in the tasks they need to carry out. |
|
Friday 10th |
Pray for Gonzaga as she leads the team. |
|
Saturday 11th |
This weekend Ted and Judi are returning to speak at the Church of Our Lady in Leamington Spa. Pray for safety travelling and for a good response from the congregations. |
|
Sunday 12th |
Pray that God will continue to provide more people who are willing to sponsor a child in education. |
|
Monday 13th |
Pray for all teachers in the schools where our children study, that they will prepare well and be creative in the way they present material. |
|
Tuesday 14th |
Pray that each of our sponsored children will be enthusiastic about learning and will achieve to the best of their ability. |
|
Wednesday 15th |
This year, many of our older students are beginning vocational courses. Pray that they will enjoy this new phase of education and be able to assimilate the things they are taught. |
|
Thursday 16th |
Give thanks for each of our sponsors, for their faithfulness in giving and their love and concern for the children they help. |
|
Friday 17th |
Pray for each of the EVC Trustees who carry a big work load, that God will guide and lead them in the tasks they need to carry out. |
|
Saturday 18th |
Today Gordon and Phil are travelling to Coventry to speak at St John Fisher Catholic Church. Pray for Phil as she speaks and for a positive response from the congregations. |
|
Sunday 19th |
Pray that God will add to the number of people willing to sponsor children in school. |
|
Monday 20th |
Pray for those who completed studies last year and are still job hunting. Pray that God will provide the right place for each one to work. |
|
Tuesday 21st |
Give thanks for all those volunteering with EVC, for the way they faithfully carry out the tasks and the enthusiasm they show for the work. |
|
Wednesday 22nd |
The Ugandan government has said that all teachers in Uganda need to upgrade their qualifications to degree level. Pray for the teachers in our schools that they will be able to use holiday time to do this and also have the finances necessary for the courses. |
|
Thursday 23rd |
This term, one of our students Roger, will complete his university education at Uganda Martyrs University. Pray for him to learn well in these last weeks and give the time necessary to revision of his course work. |
|
Friday 24th |
Give thanks for Immaculate’s enthusiasm overseeing the SACCO groups formed among the parents and for the new parents who are joining the groups. Pray that these will continue to develop well. SACCO groups help parents to save for items their children need at school. |
|
Saturday 25th |
Pray for Judi this weekend as she speaks in the Catholic parish in Midhurst and that parishioners will give generously to the work of EVC. |
|
Sunday 26th |
Continue to pray for more people willing to sponsor children in school. |
|
Monday 27th |
Pray that the goals and aims set for EVC this year will be achieved. |
|
Tuesday 28th |
St Matia Mulumba is now growing some coffee which, when harvested, will provide an income for the school. Pray for good ideas of how to market this coffee initiative in the UK. |
|
Wednesday 29th |
There are still some students who need to make decisions about the courses they will follow in vocational school. Pray for wisdom for Gonzaga as she seeks to advise them. |
|
Thursday 30th |
Pray for Joseph and Josephine, headteachers in our two primary schools, that they will lead and plan well this year. |
