Donation by Eddy's Fund
EVC recently sent a donation from a UK Charity, Eddys Fund, to buy sports equipment for our sponsored boys and girls. Sports facilities are very basic in St Matia Mulumba Primary School. However, the children are very enthusiastic about sport eg. playing football on a rough patch of land and cross country running. With this initial sum of money, the school decided to purchase essential items such as sports kit, stop watches, marker cones, etc. St Matia Mulumba recently took part in an inter-schools competition within the diocese.

With the support of EVC, both boys and girls managed to compete in the diocesan sports gala at parish level. In the 5- Team league, the boys won 2, drew 1 and lost 1. So they got the second position. The girls got the 3rd position among the seven teams. The school teams showed great teamwork and discipline, and the equipment you donated will keep helping more pupils train.
We can say that all the school teams looked very smart (girls football team shown) and performed exceptionally well.
