Saturday 1st |
The RC church in Blandford Forum sponsors one of our children. This weekend Judi and Ted are going to give an update on EVC’s work at each Mass. Pray for these times. |

Sunday 2nd |
Give thanks for all our sponsors who so faithfully support our children in school. |
|
Monday 3rd |
The children have just been writing letters to their sponsors. Give thanks for all the work done by EVC staff Immaculate and Monica and all the teachers in monitoring this activity. |
|
Tuesday 4th |
Many children in the primary schools are day pupils whose parents struggle to find the money for their school fees. Pray that God will provide ways for the parents and guardians to generate the money needed for these. |
|
Wednesday 5th |
EVC Uganda has begun the process of registering as an NGO in Uganda. Pray for all those involved in this process, that it will be done efficiently and as quickly as possible. |
|
Thursday 6th |
Pray for the EVC staff in Uganda, that they will experience good health and be fully committed to the work they are doing. |
|
Friday 7th |
Pray for a good team spirit among the staff and a willingness to support one another, particularly in very busy times. |
|
Saturday 8th |
Immaculate and Monica, staff members, are currently taking three weeks’ holiday. Pray that this will be a time of relaxation and, good relationships with family and friends. |
|
Sunday 9th |
Pray they will return with renewed energy and commitment to the work of EVC. |
|
Monday 10th |
Ted is already preparing for the Board Meeting in two weeks’ time. Pray that he will plan well for this and cover everything he needs to do. |
|
Tuesday 11th |
Pray in this time of economic uncertainty in the UK, that God will continue to provide new sponsors for children in Uganda and, that the number of children in our primary schools will be maintained. |
|
Wednesday 12th |
Prossy is returning to work this month after maternity leave. Pray the she will have good health and the energy she needs for her daily work. |
|
Thursday 13th |
Pray that the work on the kitchen and dining room at St Matia Mulumba will continue according to schedule and that each workman will be thorough in carrying out tasks. |
|
Friday 14th |
Some schools are closing today for a three week holiday and others close on 21st. Pray that all children will travel home safely and know God’s protection and provision during the time at home. |
|
Saturday 15th |
Pray that parents and guardians will see the difference being in school makes to their children. |
|
Sunday 16th |
As the SACCO groups continue to meet, pray for Immaculate to be able to motivate parents to save and, that each one will have the funds needed for the school supplies their children need. |
|
Monday 17th |
Continue to give thanks for each of our volunteers who give so much of their time to support the Admin side of our work in the UK. |
|
Tuesday 18th |
As teaching staff are on holiday, pray that they will be refreshed by this time and have renewed energy for the next term in school. |
|
Wednesday 19th |
Pray that teachers will plan well for the new term and find creative ways of teaching and motivating the children. |
|
Thursday 20th |
In June the Diocesan Building Inspector, who did so much to oversee the building work at St Matia Mulumba, was killed in a road accident. Remember him in prayer and pray that the right person will be appointed to take over his work. |
|
Friday 21st |
Even with qualifications, finding a job in Uganda is not always easy. Pray for any of our students who completed education last year and are still looking for a job where they can use their skills. |
|
Saturday 22nd |
Today the EVC Board is meeting. Pray for God’s guidance, particularly as plans are finalised for the next ten years. |
|
Sunday 23rd |
Pray for Father Boniface and Father Michael as they continue to support Gonzaga and the staff team in their work. |
|
Monday 24th |
Give thanks for each staff team member, for the positive attitude they have to EVC’s work and pray for Gonzaga as she leads the team. |
|
Tuesday 25th |
Next term is an important term for those students in Primary 7 and Senior 4 as they sit external exams. Pray that each student will concentrate well on their revision and be able to remember the things they have been taught. |
|
Wednesday 26th |
Pray that each of our sponsored children will value being in school and will make the most of all the opportunities their education offers them. |
|
Thursday 27th |
Continue to pray that parents and guardians will understand the importance of education and fully support their children being in school. |
|
Friday 28th |
As EVC’s work grows, pray that more people will be willing to volunteer and take on necessary tasks. |
|
Saturday 29th |
Pray for safety for all the EVC staff as they travel by motorcycle taxi on poor roads where accidents often take place. |
|
Sunday 30th |
As the headteachers of the primary schools look ahead to the new term, pray for wisdom and God’s guidance as they plan. |
|
Monday 31st |
The next two months is very busy for Phil and Gordon and Judi and Ted, as there are many church appeals in the diary. Pray for the capacity to deal with each of these. |
