EVC Uganda, June Prayer Requests

June 2026

‘Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the heavens. You God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people’. Psalm 68 : 34,35 NIV

Monday 1st

The new school term has just begun. Pray that the children will value the opportunity they have to be in school and will give of their best in each lesson.

Tuesday 2nd

Pray for the teaching staff in the schools that they will prepare well and know how best to present the teaching material to the children.

Wednesday 3rd

Currently there are cases of ebola in Uganda. Pray that children, staff and parents will be kept safe during this time and that the Ugandan health authority will manage this crisis well.

Thursday 4th

Pray for the schools, that they will have the financial means to implement any instructions given by the Ministry of Health.

Friday 5th

Pray for Prossy on maternity leave and ask that those who are overseeing her work in her absence will have the time and capacity to do this well.

Saturday 6th

This weekend Judi and Ted are speaking in High Wycombe and Gordon and Phil are in Fairford, Gloucestershire. Pray for safety in travel and that people will give generously to our work.

Sunday 7th

Pray that some people will be willing to sponsor a child in education and that we will see the number of children supported in school grow.

Monday 8th

Parents are finding it difficult to raise the funds needed for school supplies for their children. Pray that each one will find ways of raising the money so that their children are well equipped in school.

Tuesday 9th

Pray for Immaculate and Monica, the two newest members of EVC staff in Uganda, that they will be committed to the work and quickly learn what is involved in their jobs. Pray they may have good success in each task they have to carry out.

Wednesday 10th

Immaculate is overseeing the SACCO groups. Pray that she will continue to build good relationships with the parents in each group and that they will be motivated to save as much as they can to provide for their children.

Thursday 11th

Gonzaga, our Head of Operations has a very big work load. Pray that God will give her courage and guidance in dealing with this and that she will know how to prioritise the tasks.

Friday 12th

This month is very busy with church appeals. Pray for stamina and the capacity to deal with this for Phil, Gordon, Judi and Ted.

Saturday 13th

Two church appeals are taking place this weekend in Whetstone and in Oxford. Pray for Phil and Judi as they speak.

Sunday 14th

Continue to pray that people will respond positively to our work and that more children will gain sponsorship for education.

Monday 15th

As Gonzaga continues to work on registering EVC as an NGO in Uganda and to clarify any tax implications the charity has going forward, pray that she will have success in these matters and that everything will be in place by the end of June.

Tuesday 16th

Pray for Joseph and Josephine, headteachers in our two primary schools, for wisdom in how to lead and direct their teaching staff.

Wednesday 17th

Give thanks for the progress being made on the building of the kitchen and dining room at St Matia Mulumba. Pray for Gonzaga and the Deputy Head as they oversee this in Prossys absence.

Thursday 18th

Give thanks for all our sponsors, for their faithful support for our children.

Friday 19th

There is a need to build offices and accommodation for the EVC staff in Uganda. Pray that God will provide the money needed for this building.

Saturday 20th

Judi and Ted are going to Faversham in Kent this weekend to speak about EVCs work. Pray for safety in travel and for a generous response from the congregations.

Sunday 21st

Give thanks for our sponsors and pray that more people will be willing to sponsor a child in education.

Monday 22nd

Pray for an enthusiasm for learning for our sponsored children and that teachers will know how to foster an enthusiastic attitude.

Tuesday 23rd

Pray for all support staff in the schools, matrons, security guards, cooks, nurses and administration staff, that they will feel very much a part of the schools they work in.

Wednesday 24th

Pray for those children who completed their education this past year who may not, as yet, have found a job. Pray that God will give them success in their search.

Thursday 25th

Henry and Roger complete university studies this summer. Pray that they will have good success in their final exams.

Friday 26th

Give thanks for all those who volunteer with us, for the faithful way in which they carry out the responsibilities they have.

Saturday 27th

This weekend Phil and Gordon are speaking in Leighton Buzzard. Pray that those who hear the appeal will want to support EVCs work, either by donation or sponsoring a child.

Sunday 28th

Many of our students began vocational courses this year. Pray that they will enjoy the course they are taking and will achieve well in any assessments they have to do.

Monday 29th

Continue to give thanks for all the support given by Father Boniface and Father Michael to the EVC staff team.

Tuesday 30th

Continue to pray for good relationships in the EVC staff team and that there will be an attitude of supporting one another and of working together for the good of the children.
