Building firm foundations for our boys!

May 2020

In November 2018, we held the grand opening of the much-needed girls' dormitory, which now can accommodate up to 150 girls! But now, it's time for some good news for the boys.

Work starts at last on a boys' dormitory for St Matia Mulumba primary school. During term time, the boys currently sleep in their classrooms and they cannot wait to have a new clean and functional dormitory with associated toilets and washing facilities.

Boys' dormitory - digging the foundations

Construction is going extremely well and foundations have been dug and established. We might have this facility ready shortly after the boys return to school after lockdown in Uganda.

Boys' dorm - building starts

Take a look at this old blog entry for a reminder of the progression of the girls' dorm, and the finished product is pictured below. The boys' dormitory promises to be just as good!

Watch this space for more updates on progress and see our Current Projects page for details on our latest projects.
